FAQs

How should I prepare for my wax?

It is best to take a warm to hot shower or bath as close to your appointment as possible. Exfoliate the skin lightly with a scrub or loofah. This will soften the skin and open the pores. Please do not use any lotion post-cleanse.

Can I still come in if I am menstruating?

Absolutely! Please have a diva cup or tampon in during your appointment. I recommend a low amount of CBD or OTC painkillers if you are experiencing cramping.

What should I do after my wax?

24 hours post-wax please refrain from the following: sweating, tight clothing, hot tubs, and sex (even oral). If you are unable to time these things in your favor, please let me know and I will provide further tips.

3 days post-wax please begin to use an exfoliant every other day to help prevent ingrowns until the time of your next wax. This will also help soften the hair and make your next wax even easier. Once you have been waxed and I know your hair and skin type I am happy to make exfoliation recommendations. Please do not use oils or lotions on the bikini area unless recommended.

What kind of wax do you use?

I use a hard wax that is designed for extra sensitive areas. It is fragrance-free, organic and vegan. For less sensitive areas such as the back and legs, I use a strip wax with Argan oil and Vit. E to hydrate and protect the skin. I follow each wax with products tailored to your skin and hair type.

How often should I get waxed?

Somewhere between 4-6 weeks. Everyone’s hair is different and I will make a recommendation once you have been waxed. Ideally, no more than 6 weeks between waxing appointments.
